1. The strap cannot be cut
Pickpockets don't pick pockets anymore. They slash and grab, and they're gone before you turn around.
This strap has steel cable wiring running through the inside of it. A blade doesn't get through it. That single detail is why I stopped clutching my bag every time someone walked close.

2. The buckle actually locks
Every cheap sling has that plastic side-release clip. One squeeze and your bag is on the ground.

There's a concealed pocket on the back panel that sits flat against you. That's where my emergency cash, my backup card and my hotel key go. It cannot be reached without taking the bag off me first.

The lining is RFID blocking. Passport, credit cards, hotel key card. All of it goes dark to a scanner. I stopped buying those flimsy RFID sleeves that never stay on the card.
